Charlie Wesley Johnson
Charlie Wesley Johnson was one of the six (6) sons and nine (9) children of the John and Elizabeth Johnson union. The chronological order of birth for Charlie in relation to his other siblings is still unclear. Charlie spent his early years in the Turbeville area of Clarendon County, (his family origin) and eventually settled there. He was lead by God to become a Baptist Minister. He married Emma and had twelve (12) children, nine (9) sons and three (3) daughters. (A family chart is provided in the subsequent section.)
Charlie remained in the local vicinity until he died. He is now buried in the McFadden Cemetery, Oak Grove Community, near Turbeville, S.C. Based on information presented, we have been able to enumerate two hundred thirty four (234) descendants of Charlie and Emma Johnson, focusing on seven (7) generations.
