Charlie Wesley Johnson was one of the six (6) sons and nine (9) children of the John and Elizabeth Johnson union. The chronological order of birth for Charlie in relation to his other siblings is still unclear. Charlie spent his early years in the Turbeville area of Clarendon County, (his family origin) and eventually settled there. He was lead by God to become a Baptist Minister.
